The Project Coordinator (Qualitative Measures) willbe responsible forday to daydelivery of the Patient and Carer Stories Project. They will report to the Engagement and Stakeholder Manager and work closely with the PatientStoriesAnalyst.
As part of a small teamthey will coordinate activities related to the successful implementation of the project,ensuring that people’s stories can make an impact. They will also supportevaluation andlook athow learning from the project can be shared.

Location
The main base for this role is atTrust headquarters–locatedat Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2).You will need to be able to work face to faceandtraveltodifferent locationsin the areas the Trust serves, for example to promote the project or meet with story collectors.
The Project Coordinator willbe responsible forcoordinating and supporting up to 20 service users and carers who collect the qualitative information as part of this project. These service users and carersare referredto as Story Collectors.
We are looking someone who canestablishand develop relationships with service users and carers quickly and sensitively, is able to coordinate project work under minimum supervision, and who is also proactive and can contribute to activities to bring the project to its completion.
Key activitiesOctober 2025 – January 2026:
• Organisestory collection either by linking directly with service users andcarersor by coordinating meetings with Story Collectors. This will include coordinatebookings of rooms andface to facemeetings.
• Continue targeted engagement work with specific seldom heard groups to ensure that they can share their experiences.
• Quality assure data collectedandpassed to the Research Analystin a timely manner.
• Manage the project's mailbox and act as the first point of contact for allrelatedenquiries
• Support the administration of the Patient and Carer Stories Steering Groupmonthlymeetingsand provide updates to the group.
• Provide Story Collectors with 1 to 1 support (as needed) and debriefs after data collection, as well as group sessions to share learnings.
• Coordinate activities to support the project making an impact through for example presenting reports at Directorate meetings with the support of the team
• Contribute tothe evaluation of the project by coordinating relevant activities such as organising reflective sessions and an end of project event.
• Contribute to succession planning developmentby working together with the team to identifyroutes for the project to become sustainable.

• Knowledge ofsupporting, engaging, and managing people
• Acommitment toco-production, joint working or partnership working
• The ability to plan,prioritiseandorganiseseveral activities including diary management,using own initiative within a changing and demanding environment.
Working with service users and carers
• Work directly with service users and carers to listen to their experiences of using services in an environment of their choice either face to face or online andbe responsible forcoordinating and booking.
• Tomaintaina community of Story Collectors who feel part of making a change in the Trust.
• To provide Story Collectors with 1 to 1 support (as needed) and debriefs after data collection, as well as group sessions to share learnings and offer on-going training.
• Undertake targeted engagement work to build relationships with community members, patients,carersand colleagues and support them toparticipatein sharing their experiences.
Administrative duties
• Manage the Patient and Carer Stories Project mailbox and act as the first point of contact for allrelatedenquiries
• Support the administration of the Patient and Carer Stories Steering Group meetings including taking minutes andmaintainingassociated records for a variety of workstreams, e.g.attendeeslists,feedbackand action logs
• To manage authorisation of timesheets and expense formsfor service users and carersin line with the Involvement Register principles.
• Adhere to data protection and confidentiality requirements and escalate issues as appropriate.
• To quality assure data collected by Story Collectors is of a high standard and ensure it is passed to the Research Analystin a timely manner.
The post holder must be committed totreatservice users, carers and staff with respect and dignityat all times. Having a personable manner and the ability to deal sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
Whilelived experience of mental health services islisted asan essential requirementin the person specification,there is flexibility on this due to the stage of the project. Personal insight into mental health service provision would beadvantageous.
