Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Lewisham Early Intervention in Psychosis service. This is a full-time, permanent position at band 4. The role offers a valuable opportunity for someone with a strong first degree in psychology, plus relevant experience, to further progress their career. Supervised by a Clinical Psychologist, the post is highly suitable for a candidate who aspires to pursue further training in clinical psychology and other psychological therapy professions.
The Assistant Psychologist post offers an excellent opportunity to work with qualified Clinical Psychologists in developing the service. You will have regular, weekly individual supervision from a Clinical Psychologist in the team. You will be involved in conducting triage assessments for clients who have been referred to psychology, as well as delivering low intensity psychological interventions where appropriate. These interventions include manualised programmes (focusing on low mood, anxiety, sleep problems) as well as carer support interventions.
You will assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of data; the development of audit, service evaluation and research projects; clinically related administration and/or project work. You will also support the collection and analysis of data related to the Early Intervention in Psychosis Access and Waiting Time Standard and the provision of psychological therapies.
Please contact Dr Lauren Chuttoo (lauren.chuttoo@slam.nhs.uk) for further information.
