GCSE Combined Science Teacher - Manchester - Step Teachers
We're on the lookout for a passionate GCSE Combined Science Teacher to join a caring and supportive secondary SEMH school in Manchester from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role with the chance to go permanent if it feels like the right fit.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Pay up to £230/day DOE - paid PAYE (we don't use umbrella companies)
- Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm.
- Planning and delivering tailored GCSE Combined Science lessons that engage and motivate learners with SEMH needs.
- Supporting students' academic growth while being mindful of their social and emotional challenges.
- Working closely with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to create personalised learning plans.
- Tracking student progress carefully, adapting your approach to help every learner reach their potential.
- Playing an active part in the wider school community and supporting pupils beyond the classroom.
Who You Are:
- You hold QTS or QTLS - this is essential.
- Experienced teaching Combined Science at KS3 and KS4, preferably within SEMH or similar settings.
- Patient, flexible, and skilled at building positive relationships with young people who face extra challenges.
- A team player who's ready to collaborate and share ideas.
- Committed to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
