The Cathays Primary Cluster Schools wish to appoint a School Attendance Officer to join our dedicated primary team.
We are looking to recruit a pro-active individual to work with targeted families and engage them in the learning process. The post holder will strengthen links between schools, parents, families and the wider community in order to reduce the impact of poor attendance on educational attainment.
We are looking for a committed person who will:
- Work to build strong relationships with pupils, parents and school staff
- Work across several schools effectively to increase attendance across the cluster
- Be committed to working as a team
- Be sensitive to the needs and beliefs of a wide range of diverse families
- Be able to use their initiative to manage workload effectively
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
