School Administrator
Hours of work: Part time - 8am to 4pm three days a week (Tues / Weds / Thurs)
Summary of Position: The CMS Administrator should be highly professional, confident, well organised and conscientious. The role requires an approachable manner, welcoming nature and good communication. Good ICT skills such as use of Microsoft office are required. The administrator must have patience, love and respect for children. All staff are crucial in modelling courteous and respectful behaviour as well as contributing to the warm, supportive, and calm atmosphere that is the hallmark of a Montessori school. The administrator reports to the senior leadership team (SLT). They carry out all works in accordance with regulations and following CMS protocols.
The key areas of remit for the administrator are: 1) Dealing with enquires- based in reception, answering the door, answering incoming calls, replying to emails, sending out forms to parents as directed by the SLT. 2) Record Keeping- keeping various registers and files up to date. 3) Auditing- simple half termly audits related to matters such as record keeping, health and safety checks, attendance etc. 4) Risk assessments- logging daily risk assessment
About Cardiff Montessori School: Cardiff Montessori School (CMS) is based in Llanishen, and currently takes students aged 2 to 13 years. The school is expanding as the students grow and the school plans to take students up to the age of 16 in the near future. The school currently has 80 pupils on roll. CMS is the first, and only, Montessori school in Wales.
