The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you’ll drive our growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and expanding our client base. You’ll work closely with the wider sales team to execute strategies that contribute directly to the business’s long-term success, sustainability, and profitability. This role is perfect for someone motivated by results and passionate about creating meaningful connections.
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and evaluate customer needs
• Seek out new leads via networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and social media
• Arrange and attend meetings with prospective clients to understand needs and present tailored solutions
• Promote products and services, adapting offerings to individual client requirements
• Provide post-sale support, gather feedback, and nurture long-term client relationships
• Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, customer interactions, and invoices
• Support Sales Executives and senior management with day-to-day tasks and strategic initiatives
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience using CRM software to manage leads and client data
• Confidence and assertiveness when engaging with stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Highly motivated, results-driven, and target-focused
• Strong ability to build rapport and lasting client relationships
• Time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Skilled in negotiation and persuasive sales techniques
• Confident in delivering presentations to clients and internal teams
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Nice to Have:
• Previous experience in a similar sales or business development role
• Knowledge of the tech or sustainability sectors
