About Us
At The Big Phone Store, we're passionate about sustainability, value, and delivering excellent service. As one of the UK’s leading retailers and recyclers of mobile phones and tech, we’re growing fast and looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support our leadership team in Wolverhampton.
Role Overview
We are seeking a confident, reliable, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to our senior executives. This is a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the leadership team and will involve everything from calendar and communication management to project coordination and confidential administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments across multiple time zones.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the executive team and internal/external stakeholders.
• Organise and coordinate leadership meetings, take minutes, and track follow-up actions.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Support with project tracking, prioritisation, and execution.
• Anticipate needs and take initiative to improve efficiency and solve problems.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or in a similar senior-level support role.
• Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and stay calm under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, positive attitude.
• Based in or able to reliably commute to our Wolverhampton office.
Desirable:
• Experience supporting senior leadership in a fast-paced or retail/tech environment.
• Familiarity with project management tools or CRM systems (e.g., Asana, Trello, HubSpot).
Qualifications Are Valued, Not Required
While qualifications and formal education are appreciated, they are not the sole criteria for our hiring decisions. We value individuals with an educated background, but we believe that skills, experience, mindset, and cultural fit are equally, if not more, important. A specific degree or qualification does not automatically make someone suitable for a role; we consider the full picture
Hybrid work? Here’s how we do it: Some roles may offer hybrid flexibility, but only after 6 months of proven performance. Others require full in-person collaboration to deliver the best results.
If you’re ready to challenge yourself, grow fast, and be part of something big—apply now.
Company Perks:
• Permanent role with the fastest-growing sellers of refurbished electronics
• Industry sector – Recession Proof
• Staff discounts
• Pension Scheme
• Days out and other social events
• Free onsite parking
• Equal Opportunities employer, fully committed to diversity, equality, and inclusion since 1999
• Birthdays off and paid for without having to use entitlement after year 2
• Up to 28 days of paid holiday
• One extra day holiday rewarded for every year of service from year 2
