Educato are working on behalf of a primary school in the Stockport area who are looking recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who is starting in Reception in September. The school require the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant to work with the pupil for the full academic year. This is initially a supply post but there are opportunities to interview for a permanent post. The incoming SEN Teaching assistant will be expected to be ready to work in September 2025 on a full time basis
The Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality support to a child in Reception in a primary school in Stockport. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
- Support pupils with SEN
- Experience within a Primary or SEN school
- Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support
What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
- Graduates of Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply
- Sports graduates
- Team Teach is highly desirable
- A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
