Summary

Educato are working on behalf of an SEN school in the Tameside area who are looking recruit an SEN specialists to work with groups of identified pupils with Special Educational Needs. The school require Three SEN Teaching Assistants to start with them in September with a specific focus on supporting pupils with Autsim. This is initially a supply post but there are opportunities to earn a school contract. The incoming SEN Teaching assistant will be expected to be ready to work in September 2025 on a full time basis

The Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key player in delivering high-quality support to children with Autism at a school based in Tameside. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to:
- Support individual and small groups of pupils in class
- Assist with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Help develop communication, social, and emotional skills
- Contribute to detailed observations, assessments, and progress tracking
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support

What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent experience
- Graduates of Psychology and Sociology are encouraged to apply
- Sports graduates
- Team Teach is highly desirable
- A genuine passion for SEN and understanding of different learning needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is a bonus
