The post of Business Support Assistant: Childcare Development Team is critical to the development of childcare provision across Cheshire East. The role is varied. The post holder will support the administration of financial support to childcare providers to enable children with SEND to access childcare, administer the programme of training to the childcare workforce, support administration of the Free Early Education Entitlement funding for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds, and projects to support delivery of sufficient high quality childcare across the borough.
There is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Years, Family Help & Prevention service, supporting the local authority to fulfil its statutory duty to ensure there is sufficient high quality childcare to enable children to access their early education entitlements and support the needs of parents in work or training.
The successful applicant will collate reports, minute meetings and issue funding agreements from a high volume of professionals and childcare providers across Cheshire East. A high level of accuracy is required and good attention to detail is essential. This post is suited to an administrator who can demonstrate good organisational skills and can confidently communicate with parents, schools, childcare providers and professionals.
Ideally, we are looking for the post holder to have experience in, and a good working knowledge of, the full range of early years education entitlement funding.
The post holder will deal with routine and non-routine enquiries in line with agreed policies and defined procedures. Team working is also of equal importance to the role.
Please call the Childcare Development Lead on 01625 374744 or email Rebecca.Job@cheshireeast.gov.uk if you require any further information.
