35-37 hours per week

Contract Length: 6 months

Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Our Client is seeking an experienced Head of Service / Service Improvement Lead to drive and embed meaningful improvements across Family Safeguarding and Adolescent Services. This pivotal role will provide leadership, direction, and focus to strengthen social work practice, enhance partnership engagement, and ensure readiness for Ofsted inspection.
Key Responsibilities:



Lead service improvement initiatives across Family Safeguarding and Adolescent Services.


Strengthen frontline social work practice, ensuring high-quality and consistent standards.


Support Ofsted readiness through robust planning, preparation, and quality assurance.


Build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.


Provide visible leadership, working closely with senior managers, practitioners, and partners to drive positive change.




Essential Requirements:
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and impactful leader who brings:



Significant senior management experience in children’s services.


A proven track record of delivering service improvement in Family Safeguarding and/or Adolescent Services.


Strong knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, inspections, and requirements.


Excellent partnership-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.


A results-driven approach, with the resilience and focus to deliver meaningful change.
