The Future Delivery team sits within the Navy Nuclear Portfolio Group and supports the Director Submarines in driving coherent delivery of In-Service change programmes, transitions to new capabilities and the continuous improvement of generate activity.
The Strategy & Plans Advisor will support the Strategy Manager in the development and maintenance of the Navy Nuclear strategic plan to ensure we have the capacity, capability and resilience needed to meet submarine readiness requirements for defence tasks.
A major part of the role is the delivery of the Submarine Directorate's response to HM Government’s Comprehensive Spending Review and Integrated Review, ensuring our needs and interests are fully represented. This will support developing our strategic narrative and building the evidence base to inform the Royal Navy’s contribution to the Defence Nuclear Enterprise strategic policy. The post holder will need to be adaptable, respond to switches in pace; require strong stakeholder engagement, organisation and prioritisation skills and; will need to demonstrate a drive for early delivery of high-quality outputs.
The post will be based in London or NCHQ Portsmouth, with an expectation for regular travel between the two sites and occasional travel to other defence locations including NB Clyde and Devonport.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
Please note, candidates will be redirected to the Civil Service Jobs website where you will need to submit your application form.
