Summary
To lead in the delivery and presentation of the financial element of the Trust's Annual Plan and to oversee the production of a reliable forecasting process Work closely with the Head of Finance MI, Analysis & Reporting to ensure the financial plan is accurately reflected in budgets. Model the Trust short term (1 year) and long-term financial plans taking account of the effect of cost pressures, service developments and income assumptions including revisions to the tariff and changes to national policy and legislation. To support the production of longer-term strategic projections in partnership with other senior managers and to lead on complex financial modelling displaying the effect of proposed service changes on the organisation. Requires excellent planning skills and knowledge of the corporate priorities and systems of the Trust to develop long term Service Business Plans that both progresses and influences organisational priorities. Work with the trust strategy team to ensure outcomes from the Trusts strategic framework, clinical strategy and estates strategy are captured and reflected in the trusts long-term financial plan. To challenge assumptions with relevant individuals and to be responsible for ensuring that financial modelling is robust, accurate and in line with overall Trust objectives, assessing risks and identifying risk-mitigating actions as required.
