The Staff Development / OD Administrator will be integral to supporting the people development commitments made in Aberdeen 2040 and contributing to a learning culture across the University.
The post will be based in the Human Resources Organisational Development (OD) Team. Colleagues in OD take forward organisational priorities such as professional and personal training and development (including coaching and mentoring schemes), equality, diversity and inclusion (including driving forward charter marks such as Athena Swan and the Race Equality Charter), change management projects and benchmarking activities such as the biennial Staff Survey.
HR is part of the People Directorate, in Professional Services, which encompasses the wider Human Resources team (HR Partners/Advisers and Employment Services), Student Support and Advice, Multi-faith Chaplaincy, Counselling Service, Health, Safety and Wellbeing and Student Experience.
The postholder can expect to have regular contact with all areas of the People Directorate and will also be required to work closely with other Professional Services and Academic units across the University.
As the Staff Development / OD Administrator you will ensure that smooth running of the learning and development function by providing administrative support in respect of L&D activities, providing comprehensive first line support for the function by responding to queries and providing general L&D advice escalating queries as required. Involvement in other institutional activities and L&D initiatives such as the coordination of the New Staff Networking Event will also be required. There will be the opportunity to support all of the OD functions in an administrative capacity, for example by organising meetings, taking a note of action points from meetings and undertaking basic data analysis.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 salary scale, £26,942 - £30,805 per annum
