There is an exciting job opportunity for a Band 7 Ward Manager or Charge Nurse to develop their management and leadership skills. St Pancras Rehabilitation Hospital (SPRU) is a level 2 rehabilitation centre in the heart of London, just 10 minutes’ walk from Kings Cross St Pancras International.
This post will be based on Rochester West which is a 19 bedded ward - specialising in caring for multi pathology patients, including patients who have had amputations. If successful the applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of the unit, working with a large MDT including nurses, doctors, and therapists ensuring the patients receive good quality nursing care.
We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and management skills and the ability to bring positive change and growth to the unit, who is patient focused and has the ability to empower the team using training and development resources. The successful candidate also needs to reflect the CNWL Trust values and must consistently model these behaviours to the wider team.
The Ward Manager is a key leadership role with responsibility for quality: ensuring patient safety and that clinical outcomes are achieved as well as working to improve the patient experience. They will provide forward-thinking clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff at all levels within the ward to ensure that nursing care is delivered to a high standard and that the nursing resource is managed effectively. The Ward Manager will also contribute to the monitoring of quality and clinical performance indicators and will also ensure that consideration of the patient experience underpins all activity on the ward and ensures that nursing care is of the highest possible standard at all times with particular emphasis on dignity and compassion.
