Crynodeb
The Staffordshire Centre for Data Analytics (SCDA) is a partnership consisting of Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Police and Keele University.
Our vision is to lead the way in addressing public sector challenges through innovative research, data analytics and collaborative working.
The Project Support Officer will oversee the progress and delivery of our Research Projects, and in some cases take direct responsibility for projects, associated activities or tasks.
The role will follow a hybrid working arrangement from Monday-Friday for a fixed term of 2 years.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To report on the progress of agreed research projects against plans, internal processes and Key Performance Indicators.
- To establish quality control and appropriate project governance, analysing risks and maintaining risk registers.
- To ensure that any risks or issues within projects are identified and communicated to the relevant person for resolution.
- To support the development of Research Proposals, completing ad-hoc research and collating data and insight where required.
- To build positive working relationships with a range of people across Staffordshire who play an active role in the success of the Centre.
- To participate in structured and unstructured meetings, workshops and other events and facilitating where appropriate.
- To understand and apply information governance principles within the design and delivery of projects.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for you to:
- Want to make a real difference to public services
- Have an understanding of local government, the broader public sector and partnership working
- Be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent in experience
- Have a working knowledge and awareness of project management methodologies and techniques
- Have experience in aggregating, analysing and reporting on a range of information
- Have an excellent standard of written English and be able to interpret numerical data quickly and effectively
- Be able to build credible relationships and networks with people from varying professional backgrounds
- Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude and focus on delivery
Closing date is Tuesday 2nd September, however may close early if there are high volumes of applications. Interviews will be held during the week starting 8th September or the week starting 15th September 2025.
