Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Payroll Coordinator

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the new role of Payroll Coordinator within the Payroll Team.

The Payroll Team is responsible for the timely payment and delivery of payroll services to the Karbon Group. They are also responsible for the administration of pensions and payment of expenses. The team are an integral part of the business and high standards of accuracy are expected to ensure an excellent level of customer service to all colleagues is provided. They also work closely with our People and Organisational Development Team where there are key links with Human Resources and Recruitment processes.

About the role

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Team with various payroll specific tasks that contribute towards the preparation of the payroll and the administration of pensions. You will be involved in administering deductions and payments including different benefits and working with the team to provide an accurate and efficient payroll service. You should have strong pension knowledge and be well aware of salary sacrifice legislation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague who is committed to providing the highest possible standard of service to our customers and who also has strong payroll experience and knowledge of the iTrent payroll/ HR integrated system is desirable.

About you

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong record of demonstrable achievement in service delivery of payroll services
  • Knowledge of payroll and pension legislation
  • Experience of using payroll software packages - iTrent knowledge is desirable
  • The ability to work individually and collaborate with other team members and the wider business in order to form part of an effective team.
  • The ability to work under pressure
