The Strategic Workforce Planning & People Analytics Team Lead will work closely with the Business Units, Military Strategic Headquarters (MSHQ) and the three service personnel staff to conduct planning activity and contribute to the setting of organisational priorities in structure and disposition of the organisation across the Command.
The role will report to the Lead Military Wf Plans.
Key Responsibilities include: -
Successful coherence and control of Strategic Command input to the Defence HR Services programme at Defence level, ensuring the co-ordination of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) staff and contributing to process, policy and thought development that deliver the new system and catalogue of services.
Support to the Strategic Command Planning Teams on the military workforce management elements within the Strategic Planning Cycle to shape and develop Regular Military Workforce measures and change proposals across the Command.
Manage the Strategic Command structure and disposition for the ‘In Year’ and ‘Early Years’ period of the Strategic Planning Cycle profile in order to ensure the organisation stays within a delegated resource envelope (Money and People); highlighting RISK and recommending mitigation's, when required.
Manage the People team contribution to delivering directed Workforce changes (efficiencies, savings and enhancements) in a timely and effective manner, through engagement and collaboration with the service Commands and Military Strategic Headquarters (MSHQ).
Being a contributor and represent the team in HR functional forums; including as a member of the Defence Workforce Working Group, Strategic Wf planning community of practice and the Defence Establishment Management Working Group (MEWG).
Providing leadership support in the development of a sustainable and influential people function across the (sizeable) organisations that make up the Command.
Line management and development of 2 Military Personnel and 1 Civil Servant direct reports.
