We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a secondary school team. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the past, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong love of history. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a History Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3–KS5.
Teach a range of historical topics, encouraging analytical thinking and debate.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports students of all abilities.
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school policy.
Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as history clubs, trips, or enrichment activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Humanities department to drive continuous improvement.
Ideal History Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in History or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching history.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a History Teacher.
Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.
