A Vacancy at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking an inspiring, compassionate and accomplished Consultant Psychiatrist to join our supportive Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) working with children and young people aged 18-25.

You will have a central role within an MDT context in delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for a caseload of complex patients and their families, as well as contribute to providing psychiatric & medical risk management.

We’re looking for a dedicated and qualified professional with full GMC registration (with a licence to practise) and a medical degree such as an MBBS or equivalent. You’ll be on the specialist register (CCT in General Adult Psychiatry/CESR) and hold both Section 12 and Approved Clinician status. As a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent, you’ll also be a clear communicator, a positive role model, and a team player who thrives in multidisciplinary settings.

You will support the CRHTT in multidisciplinary team assessment of patients presenting with acute mental health presentations, risk assessments and management plans and initiation and monitoring of appropriate clinical interventions. You will provide important liaison with other doctors and MDT teams in community, inpatient mental health and primary care.

Your leadership will support junior clinicians, strengthen system-wide partnerships, and help shape the ongoing development of our forward-thinking mental health service.

This is your chance to make a real difference to the lives of young people across Birmingham.
