We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Manager with a strong background in network technologies and a proven track record of leadership across diverse business environments. This role will lead the transformation of our network function into a high-performing shared service, supporting operations across the UK and EU.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead and evolve the network team into a shared service model, delivering consistent, scalable, and secure network services across multiple regions.
Execute the network strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience.
Oversee the implementation, and support of LAN/WAN, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and datacentre network security solutions.
Collaborate with Architecture, InfoSec, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service levels.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence within the network team.
Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery across all locations.
Develop and manage the network budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and value for money.
Effectively communicate network strategy, performance, and project status to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and ensure network services are aligned with their requirements.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for a geographically distributed team.


Key Skills:


Considerable experience in enterprise network management, ideally across multiple industries or business units.
Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of technologies (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Azure/AWS networking, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, DNS/DHCP).
Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
A solid grasp of general IT infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and cloud technologies.
Demonstrated success in leading teams through transformation and change.
Experience operating in a shared services or matrixed environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service delivery.


Desirable


Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
Experience with network observability and automation tools.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the UK and EU.
