Qualification Essential Registered Nursing qualification Masters degree or equivalent level of practical experience Enhanced and specialist knowledge in physical health care Desirable Management and/or leadership qualification. Experience Essential Experience of leading a physical health care team and working in a mental health/forensic setting. Experience of managing minor injuries, long term conditions, physical health, mental health, related infection prevention and control and public health issues. Experience of working within a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity. Experience of developing and implementing service change/reconfiguration and developing transformative plans. Experience of budget management. Experience of line management and management of staffing issues. Desirable Experience of working within a senior leadership team in a complex environment. Experience of developing clinical or operational strategy. Knowledge Essential A clear understanding and in-depth knowledge of patient safety systems, risk and controls assurance standards that need to be achieved. A thorough in depth understanding of current policy in infection, prevention and control, Knowledge of Forensic Mental Health Pathways and relevant legislation in relation to the client group and mental health. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
