About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Enterprise Coordinator for the Hull and East Yorkshire Careers Hub to improve the careers outcomes for young people in the region.
Our role is to connect local employers with schools and colleges to coordinate careers education and enhance each student's early experiences of the workplace. The Careers Hub brings education and industry together with the shared mission 'Building career ready young people to create a brighter future for industry'.
What will you be doing?
As an Enterprise Coordinator (EC), you will be the main link between local schools/colleges and employers. You will help them work together to improve careers education for young people across the region.
You will be supporting schools and colleges to develop their careers policy, programme and planning aligned to institution improvement priorities, as well as making introductions to providers and employers as appropriate.
You will be working closely with schools and businesses, in a fast paced and varied role by:
Providing strategic support to a caseload of schools
Providing intensive support to schools in the planning and implementation of the Government’s Work Experience Guarantee
Building strong relationships with schools, colleges, and training providers
Developing strong relationships with employers, particularly from local and national growth sectors
Coordinating impactful employer engagement activities
Supporting the delivery of high-quality careers programmes aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks
Recruiting and supporting a volunteer network including matching schools with volunteers
Acting as an ambassador for the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) as the funder and promoting the programme externally.
About you
You will be customer focused, a self-starter and team player, with experience of building partnerships, creating networks and maintaining strong relationships.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge of a subject relevant to the role, such as an understanding of local and national policy relating to skills and economic development, issues and barriers to employment faced by young people, and understanding the of post-16 landscape and pathways into employment.
You’ll use your knowledge and experience to support the delivery of the Careers Hub programme and caseload management.
You will need to have a solutions driven and adaptable approach to working, thrive in a busy environment, and have a positive approach to challenges.
This role will be operational across the Hull and East Yorkshire region; therefore, access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence are essential.
