Summary

Fixed Term for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Senior Early Help Family Support Worker to join the team at Acorns Family Hub on a fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. Family Hubs provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for families to access the information, advice and support that they need.
You will work with children, families, and carers creatively to provide early, targeted support to vulnerable families as part of an integrated approach to prevent family problems from escalating and to bring about sustainable behavioural change, increasing the resilience of the family, improving outcomes and decreasing dependency on public services. You will take a multi-agency approach and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external services. The role will include visiting homes, schools and other community venues on a regular basis.The role will require you to act as a Lead Practitioner for vulnerable families with a range of needs, undertaking assessments and coordinating a response to family needs in partnership with other agencies.
You must have a relevant Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an appropriate field related to Social Care, Education, Health, Early Years, Youth or Community Work and a commitment to further develop knowledge and skills relevant to the post through training and development opportunities.
