Registered Manager – Therapeutic Children’s Home (3 Beds)
Location: Staffordshire, ST20
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (Off-shift role)

Are you an experienced Residential Childcare Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a new service? We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to take the reins of a newly registered 3-bedded Therapeutic Children’s Home, supporting young people aged 9–17.

This is your chance to make a real impact—setting high standards from day one for recruitment, training, and service delivery in a home built to a high specification, with a strong therapeutic ethos.

You’ll be supported by:

  • An off-shift Deputy Manager

  • A Clinical Psychologist offering supervision and systemic support

  • A therapy team delivering face-to-face consultations and PACE training

  • A network of peer support from experienced managers

    What We’re Looking For
    You must have:

    • Managerial experience in a residential children’s home

    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Children’s Residential Care (or willingness to undertake it)

    • A full manual driving licence

    • A passion for providing safe, nurturing, and high-quality care

      Key Responsibilities

      • Lead and manage the home to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for young people

      • Support, supervise, and develop your team to uphold therapeutic and educational standards

      • Manage resources effectively and ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)

      • Build strong relationships with multi-agency partners, including social workers and placing authorities

      • Maintain rigorous safeguarding and safer recruitment practices

      • Champion a positive parenting model and therapeutic approaches, including de-escalation strategies

        Essential Attributes

        • Strong communication and leadership skills

        • Deep understanding of safeguarding and therapeutic care

        • Calm, professional, and empathetic approach

        • Commitment to continuous professional development

          Safeguarding Commitment
All roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS check (including Children’s Barred List). Our recruitment process follows strict safer recruitment guidelines.

If you’re ready to take on a leadership role where your expertise and dedication will directly shape the lives of young people, we’d love to hear from you.
