Salary Grade: Scale 3 SCP 5 to 6 - andpound;25,583 to andpound;25,989
Tyne and Wear Learning Trust and the Headteacher of Whitburn Village Primary are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible full time Caretaker to become part of our supportive, friendly and committed team.
The successful candidate will be expected to ensure the school site is safe, secure and that the buildings and grounds are maintained, clean and equipment is maintained to a high standard. They will also supervise cleaning staff within the school to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.
An experience of premises caretaking, preferably in a school or similar environment is essential. A trade would be very advantageous.
Key duties will include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring school is kept clean

Porterage

General Site Maintenance

Security
andbull;
Health andamp; Safety compliance
andbull;
Improvement work
This is an all-year-round position with annual leave encouraged to be taken in school holidays.
Visits to school can be arranged by appointment with the Headteacher, Mr C Mackley and are recommended. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.
Tyne and Wear Learning Trust safeguards and protects its pupils and staff by being committed to respond in accordance with Local Safeguarding Board Procedures. The Trust is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
