  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development, maintaining high expectations of behaviour at all times.

  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with pupils to help them feel safe and enable them to enjoy and learn.

This role requires a flexible and adaptable approach, and your duties will vary to meet the needs of the students you support.

  • Proven experience working with SEN in an employed or voluntary setting.

  • A strong understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.

  • In-depth knowledge or experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD.

  • The ability to adapt and put pupils first, treating them as individuals.

  • A positive and creative approach to meeting pupils' individual needs.

  • The ability to work professionally and effectively alongside a range of professionals.
