As a Salaried GP at Knebworth & Marymead Medical Practice, you will provide a broad range of clinical services to our diverse patient population of around 13,000 across our two sites in Knebworth and South Stevenage. Your role will involve delivering high-quality patient care through a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations. You will participate in our dedicated triage system, assessing and directing incoming patient requests efficiently to ensure timely, safe, and appropriate care. You will also have the opportunity to manage long-term conditions, carry out preventative health work, and provide acute care to patients of all ages. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, which includes advanced clinical practitioners, clinical pharmacists, practice nurses, and healthcare assistants. Our experienced administrative team supports clinicians by handling correspondence, processing medication changes, and completing a wide range of non-clinical tasks, allowing you to focus on patient-facing work. We actively encourage GPs to contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement projects, and service development. You will take part in regular clinical meetings and have access to peer support and opportunities for collaborative case discussion. As a training practice, you may also be involved in supervising and supporting GP trainees and other learners, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our practice makes extensive use of digital tools, including SystmOne, Accurx total triage, and Surgery Connect telephony, to streamline workflows and improve patient access. This role offers a balanced and sustainable workload within a supportive, well-organised environment that values both patient care and staff wellbeing.
