We deliver a full-time, British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT)-accredited BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation programme, alongside a range of postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) offerings, including an MSc in Rehabilitation.

As a Senior Lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation, you will contribute to a range of educational and programme delivery activities, including teaching, assessment, and student support. You will also play a key role in curriculum development and quality assurance, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance our academic provision.

This post may also involve contributing to the newly approved MSc in Strength and Conditioning, providing opportunities to support both curriculum development and teaching within this exciting programme. Additionally, you may contribute to the BSc Rehabilitation Joint Education Programme at Hainan Medical University in China.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and assess students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and possible overseas delivery.
• Provide support for students during placements, externally and within the in-house clinic.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality monitoring within the department.
• Engage in programme design and ongoing improvements.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, Graduate Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist with a strong background in clinical practice and education. A thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, alongside assessment and management strategies, clinical reasoning, practical application, and contemporary approaches to injury management and rehabilitation in sport, is essential. Expertise or interest in Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition, Special Population Rehabilitation and Digital Health Technology would be advantageous.

A Master’s degree is desirable; however, applicants who can demonstrate postgraduate-level study, experience in university teaching, and/or a research profile in Sport Rehabilitation or a related field will also be positively considered.
The applicant will need to be registered with BASRaT as a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, The Society of Sports Therapy (or equivalent), or with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist.
