Job title: Placement Officer, Full time
Salary: £36,672 to £40,256 p.a inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
We are looking for a Placement Officer to join our growing healthcare education team within the School of Life and Health Sciences. We are seeking applications from highly motivated candidates to provide comprehensive coordination and support for placements on relevant programmes. The role will support Nursing and Allied Health Professional programmes but also contribute to other programmes and support across the School.
Responsibilities will include the development, planning, administration, management and allocation of placements. The role will proactively focus on organising placements across professionally accredited programmes ensuring good practices are disseminated and implemented and ensuring audits and service level agreements are up to date. The post holder will provide guidance and advice to students in a number of ways, whilst liaising with academic colleagues (both in the school and with the central University placements service) and external stakeholders to create relevant and high-quality placement opportunities.
At Roehampton, we change lives by helping our students to develop their confidence, knowledge and adaptability they need for a successful graduate career and fulfilling life.
We are a supportive, close-knit and inclusive community, with a proud history in higher education stretching back more than 175 years. Our values come from this rich history, built on community, engagement and partnership, with a belief that no matter their background, we can help our students realise their ambitions. Our graduates today have excellent employment prospects, and are part of a thriving global community of Roehampton alumni.
We provide an engaging portfolio of courses across Science and Healthcare, with state-of-the-art specialist facilities that enable simulated healthcare practice and applied learning, as well as a breadth of expertise in our academic and practice learning teams. You would be joining at an exciting time, whilst we are expanding our provision in Allied Health Professions and therefore are particularly interested in colleagues who have familiarity of these professions or supporting student placements and administration. We are based on a beautiful 64-acre parkland campus, located in the heart of south-west London and also at Croydon College. Our staff have access to excellent facilities and a generous range of staff benefits.
To find out more information about the role and what we’re looking for, visit the Working at Roehampton section of our website where you will find full details, how to apply, as well as further information about the benefits of working for us.
