Summary
This post supports the Higher Executive Officer (HEO) to oversee the Management of Environmental Protection (EP) and Sustainable Development (SD) in the HQ Area of Responsibility (AoR) by providing assurance of compliance to the HQ Command and Commands within its AoR. This includes conducting assurance on, and providing direction and guidance to all dependencies, Regular, Reserve and Army Cadets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in facilitating HQ SW SHEF Meetings biannually, chaired by the Safety Champion/ Commander and act as Secretary for these meetings if delegated by the HEO SHEF
Attend biannual Regional Command (RC) SHEF Meetings and preceding 1-2-1 Safety Panels chaired by the Assistant Chief Of Staff Sp RC. Attend quarterly Assurance Meetings chaired by HEO SHEF Assurance RC.
Assist the provision of Environmental Protection & Sustainable Development Training across your AoR, including, the delivery of EP training as mapped in the training schedule.
Assist the HEO SHEF in conducting Training Needs Analysis and provide an update so shortfalls in EP & SD Training can be addressed.
Advise the HEO SHEF on EP risks within the AoR. Advise dependencies of mitigation to be put in place to bring risk to As Low As Reasonably Possible
Assist dependencies on conducting and reviewing Climate Impact Risk Assessment.
Methodology (CIRAM) across your AoR in line with requirements set by ASCen
Track HQ SW data via the Defence Unified Reporting and Lessons System (DURALS) and monitor for EP trends
