Summary

• Do you want to make a real and valuable difference to patients in their own homes?
• Do you want a career where we will support your learning and help you to achieve your goals?

Then we may have the perfect role for you!

This is a great opportunity for those who feel they no longer have the time to give basic holistic care to their patients.

The team work to support and empower each other to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care.

The service covers from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. You will need to work a mixture of the following shift times to cover the needs the service: 7am to 3pm, 8.30am to 4.30pm and 11pm to 7pm.

You will work as a member of a neighbourhood nursing team that delivers person centred integrated care in the community. The aim of the service is to support people to remain as independent at home as long as possible, proactively facilitating self-care.

Care is focussed on improving self-reliance and empowerment; seeing patients as a whole and supporting as required their health, social and psychological needs.

We are seeking people who are adaptable and collaborative, with the potential to grow, and the ability to plan, prioritise and organise their work. We ask that our senior people inspire, motivate, and unleash potential in others!

We are offering opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills, specific to your individual needs, exploring core skills and skills set specifically for the Senior Healthcare Assistant role.

So, what are you waiting for? We look forward to receiving your application.

So what else?
• This is your chance to join a progressive and innovative service in a social enterprise that is patient and staff focused - you’ll even have the opportunity to become an MCH shareholder.
• We encourage staff to get involved in exploring new ways of working and service development.
• We’ll provide well established, in-service training, one to one supervision, and appraisals with regular support.
• Would you like to work flexibly? In the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us, for our patients and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement which will not mean sacrificing time for personal interests or family commitments. We aim to support you to work flexibly in a way that will suit you and us.

The small print
• Informal visits can be arranged on request.
• We will offer you the choice of two pension schemes; the NHS Pension scheme and the Scottish Widows group pension scheme.
• MCH encourages all staff to be double COVID vaccinated to protect themselves, their colleagues, their family and their patients.
