We are looking for a positive, dynamic, self-motivatedPaediatric Physiotherapistwith extensive experience of working with children across the spectrum of needs and a proven track record for delivering outstanding care in clinic and community settings; to join theCommunity Health Service in Merton. You will provide a service that is responsive, high quality, value for money and meets our contractual obligations including service development.

Your role will be to provide assessment, advice and treatment to children with a range of neurological, neurodevelopmental and coordination disorders; including complex medical needs. The role will include diverse work within local clinics, mainstream schools and nurseries and patient’s homes.

You will work closely with established multi-professional teams within Merton Community Services and with outside services to deliver paediatric physiotherapy advice and treatment meeting the needs of children and young people across Merton. You will have had extensive experience of working with children in the community setting and special schools or similar. You should be able to evidence excellent team working, communication and IT skills and have a passion for continuous improvement.

You should have had experience of management, leadership and service development. The successful candidate must also have experience of supporting and developing junior members of staff, data analysis and clinic coordination.

The post holder will work autonomously and in collaboration with the community teams within CLCH, other health care professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service to children and young people in the Merton Community.
• With a variety of conditions including complex needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities, and acute rehabilitation.
• In the community setting which is most appropriate for that child i.e., clinic, school, nursery, patient’s home, children centres or special school.
• To perform an advanced assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulate a problem lists and treatment plan, which is carried out as an autonomous practitioner.
• To carry a clinical caseload and work independently as a clinical lead.
