Job Title: Recovery Worker (Criminal Justice)
Location: Norwich/Norfolk
Starting Salary: £27,114 per annum
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Are you passionate about helping people to recover from substance misuse?
Do you wish to develop your experience working in the criminal justice system?
We have an opportunity to join the Matthew Project as a Recovery Worker working as part of our criminal justice team. You will fulfil a key role in a multi-agency project working collaboratively alongside colleagues from statutory and voluntary sectors to engage people to make demonstrable changes through to recovery and to drive sustained health and crime-related outcomes. The overall aim of the project is to reduce the rate of substance-related deaths in Norfolk and reduce the level of substance-related offending in Norfolk.
You will be part of an intensive, whole system approach to tackling substance misuse providing support to people in the community, delivering one-to-one and group sessions at our award-winning Centre in Norwich, partner agency offices, and other venues. You will provide proactive and assertive outreach support and will support the development of our recovery community. The ability to travel is essential.
