Do you have experience working with children and a passion for helping them thrive? Have you supported learning in a school setting—or would you love the chance to?
Are you ready to make a real difference in the classroom every single day?
If so, Gladstone Primary Academy would love to hear from you!
Your role:
As a Teaching Assistant at Gladstone Primary Academy, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional learning and physical needs, both in class and in small group settings. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo, you’ll help adapt learning activities, provide one-to-one support, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment. You’ll also assist with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and the development of engaging resources.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build supportive relationships with students, staff, and families. You should have GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent), experience working with children, and a sound understanding of safeguarding and child development.
Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or physical disabilities—and experience in a school setting—is desirable but not essential.
Fluency Duty: As this role involves direct interaction with the public, it is essential that the candidate meets the Fluency Duty requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016. The successful candidate must demonstrate fluency in English to ensure effective communication with our staff, parents and pupils.
About us:
At Gladstone Primary Academy, you’ll be part of a warm, dedicated team with a strong sense of community and purpose. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the operational excellence of our school, supported by ongoing training and development within a growing, values-led Trust.
