High functioning autistic woman with anxiety (does not have behavioural issues) seeks two female support workers to join her existing team.
Will be based in Loughton, Essex but going to a range of places, so must be confident driver including on motorways, and able to use public transport when needed. You will need own car for every shift.
The job is to help this busy, intelligent articulate lady access the community and to be at home. There is no care, housework, no lifting or meds involved in the role.
The hours are flexible part time hours depending on what the client needs month to month, but will include weekends, evenings and sleeping nights on occasion.
Full training and support are offered.
You will need:
An excellent standard of spoken English
Right to work in the UK
Be local to the post
Understanding of autism
Understanding of anxiety
Ability to be calm
To listen and follow clear instructions
To be punctual and reliable
To be able to occupy yourself eg reading
To be physically fit as the lady loves walking
To like or be able to tolerate dogs
Essex county council who provide the direct payments require you to be self employed
Have carers insurance (approx £6 pcm)
and business insurance for your vehicle.
