We’re excited to offera full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) for a Support Worker at our vibrant supported living service, Warren Court, in Cheshunt.Warren Court blends supported living with helping residents create their own home, within a safe environment. We specialise in caring for people with needs that can be complex such as learning disabilities and mental health illnesses. In addition to the support we provide at Warren Court in Cheshunt, we also provide support to adults who live in social housing in the community and to 4 flats in Hoddesdon that is above our sister scheme.As part of a supportive team, you will:Provide tailored support to individuals in their own homesEncourage life skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, and cleaningAssist with administering medicationDraft personalised support plans and risk assessmentsEmpower people to achieve their goals and live fulfilling livesNeed to have a full UK drivers’ licence.Use of a car for work purposes during shift.About YouWe’re looking for people who are:Caring, reliable, and proactive, with a genuine desire to help othersAble to communicate effectively and adapt to different needsComfortable working shifts, including weekends and bank holidaysCommitted to equality, diversity, and person-centred supportExperienced in a similar roleAdditionally, you will also be able to:Work shifts as part of a rota system which will include weekend and bank holiday workingPerform at least one sleep in per week as part of your shift (allowance of £52.78 paid)Work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to the people we supportBe flexible in your approach to work and demonstrate resilience in a challenging, but rewarding environmentHave a commitment to equality and diversity and take a positive approach to supporting people with learning disabilitiesIt is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and are happy to do sleep-ins (minimum one per week).Hightown Benefits:Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service£25,857 for a 37.5-hour contractWe make sleep in payments of at least £52.78 (in addition to your basic pay)Workplace pension scheme and life assurance of three times your annual salaryFully paid DBSAnnual bonus based on satisfactory performanceMonthly attendance bonus and annual salary and cost of living reviewOngoing professional development and training to help you deliver outstanding supportEmployee assistance helplinePlease note that we will be shortlisting and interviewing candidates on an ongoing basis and therefore we may close the vacancy early.
