Role

Role & Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be actively involved in supporting students' learning and development. You'll work closely with teachers to create and deliver engaging lessons, provide individual and group support, and contribute to a positive classroom environment. You will build strong relationships with students and staff, creating a nurturing and effective learning experience for everyone.

Main tasks include
  • Provide individual and group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of engaging and effective learning materials.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans.
  • Support classroom management strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience working in a UK school setting (experience supporting students with complex needs is desirable but not essential).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of child development and learning theories is beneficial.
  • Experience with creating and delivering personalised learning plans is a plus.
