Crynodeb
Our Neonatal Healthcare Support Workers will be expected to: Ensure all department areas are clean and tidy in line withHealth & Safety, Infection Control and Fire Safety policies. Keep a comprehensive system for stock control, to ensureappropriate levels are maintained but not exceeded. Liaise with the nurse in charge each shift and prioritise dutiesaccordingly. Daily/monthly housekeeping and setting up of medical equipment. Ensure Trust mandatory training is kept up to date. Undertake any further training to master new skills andmaintain the essential requirements of the role. Support the clinical team when required while remainingwithin own scope of practice. This includes assisting with procedures, supporting Infant feeding and breastfeeding, heel prick blood sampling, taking of baby observations, feeds and cares of a newborn. Support the service and family with Family-Integrated Care, Bliss and Baby-Friendly Initiatives. Support the staff with reception duties in the absence of theWard Clerk. Ensures confidentiality in all aspects of the role. Contributes to the security of the unit. Identifies with the manager, areas requiring further skills andtraining to meet the needs of the service. ***Please refer to the attached job description and/or person specification for full job main duties***
