What’s important to you is the potential to grow, the impact you can have on people's lives, and the opportunity to support others and develop your team.Core Activities (Shared between Customer Service Managers):Centre Health & SafetySupport the General Manager in ensuring the health and safety of the Leisure Centre facilities, ensuring safe working best practices and compliance with legislation, including The Health & Safety at Work Act and COSHH RegulationsSupport the management of the pool plant operation, ensuring regular maintenance tasks and KPI checks are undertaken daily, weekly, monthly according to scheduleSupervise completion of KPIs and daily tasks by the leisure team, carrying out daily checks on all facilities ensuring the building is safe, clean and fit for use by customers.Ensure the reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses are done in a timely mannerEnsure reporting of any hazards, damage or maintenance issues to the Facilities team using the relevant operational systemSupport the Facilities Team with the acquisition of contractor quotes for Leisure Centre building repairs and maintenance as identified.Resource & Scheduling ManagementSupport an efficient and high-performing lifeguard and customer service team as applicable, working with the other Manager colleagues to ensure the rota is proactively staffed, shifts are clearly communicated, using appropriate Company systemsSupport the processing of monthly payroll, ensuring working hours, holiday and sickness absences are recorded accurately and in good timeSupport recruitment as needed, including new staff training and induction processes.Leisure Centre OperationsSupport the purchasing of consumables and efficient stock control systems, ensuring costeffective use of resources, including cleaning equipment and chemicalsSupervise the retail shop and cafe service where appropriate, including sales, inventory control and daily reconciliationEnsure suitable cash reconciliation, where a cash service is providedSupport the delivery of excellent customer service via an efficient duty management serviceDealing with enquiries and bookings, and collecting customer feedbackBe available to work to an early or late shift rota to ensure lifeguard and duty manager cover is available while the Leisure Centre is open, 7 days a week including weekendsSupport the organisation of lifeguard or other mandatory training, including NPLQ renewals, competency assessments, quarterly lifeguard observations; maintaining training records as required and appropriateEnsure your training and competence is achieved and maintained across the board, taking responsibility for your ongoing professional developmentCover lifeguard and teaching shifts where there are gaps to ensure ongoing operations where appropriateCorporate ResponsibilitiesCommitted to and actively promote Halo leisure’s policy and procedures to support safeguarding and value and respect diversity and inclusion in all aspects of duties and working relationships (FREDIE)Manage resources to the highest standards and act as a custodian of best practiceOtherTo act in accordance with, and actively promote, Halo Leisure policies and standards.Keep up to date with trends and developments within relevant professional discipline.To keep development needs under review and regularly discuss with the General Manager.This Job Description covers the main duties and responsibilities of the job.
