As a Behaviour Mentor, your primary responsibility will be to foster a serene and respectful learning environment by delivering targeted interventions for pupils who require additional support with their behaviour and emotional regulation. You will work closely with teaching staff and other support professionals to identify and address the unique needs of each child, employing evidence-based strategies to promote positive behaviour and enhance social-emotional development.
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of child development, behaviour management techniques, and the factors that contribute to behavioural challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be engaging with pupils, parents, and colleagues to create comprehensive support plans and monitor progress. Prior experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting is highly desirable.
