Crynodeb
The appointment will be for 10 programmed activities, 8.5 PAs of Direct Clinical care (DCC) and 1.5 PAs of Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) for revalidation preparation, CPD, teaching, educational supervision and clinical governance. Job plans are subject to annual review as part of the annual appraisal and revalidation process and the amount of allocated SPA time may be adjusted in the future in accordance with the appointees teaching, research and managerial duties. The proposed job plans are included below, however we are open to reviewing this on the basis of part-time working requests. The appointed Consultant will be expected to work with managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of services and will share with consultant colleagues the medical contribution to management. They will be expected to observe the Trusts agreed policies and procedures, and to follow the approved standing orders, financial instructions and standards of conduct. Where they manage employees of the Trust they will be expected to follow both national employment law and local personnel policies and procedures. They will be expected to make sure that there are adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of patients to be able to contact them when on call.
