We are seeking a Deputy Room Leader (previously Enhanced Practitioner) to join our vibrant team at Freshlings Nursery, part of University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd (UCSPL). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a setting rated Outstanding by OFSTED, right in the heart of the University of Plymouth campus.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the Room Leader in leading, coaching, and motivating a team of Early Years Practitioners.
• Deliver high-quality, inclusive early years education and care for children aged 0–5.
• Foster a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive through play and exploration.
• Work in partnership with families and external agencies to support every child’s development.
• Maintain accurate records, contribute to planning and observations, and support children with SEND.

What You’ll Bring:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, NNEB, BTEC).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role within a nursery setting.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
