Alexander Stadium is one of the UK’s leading athletics venues – a world-class facility that played centre stage at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Following a £72 million transformation, it stands as the largest of its kind in the country – and now, you have the chance to play a key role in its day-to-day success.
This is your opportunity to bring people and events together in an iconic setting.
As Sales and Events Executive, you’ll lead on securing and supporting a wide range of bookings – from sports fixtures and conferences to community and commercial events. What you’ll do:
· Promote and secure a wide range of events, from athletics to corporate functions
· Act as the main point of contact for clients, from enquiry through to post-event follow-up
· Coordinate logistics and work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth, high-quality event delivery
· Manage bookings, update sales systems, handle invoicing and reporting accurately, and support with ad hoc tasks
·
· Attend networking events and client meetings to generate leads and grow business
· Support the stadium’s reputation as a first-class destination for events
What you’ll bring:
· Confidence in client-facing roles and excellent communication and numerical skills
· Strong organisation and time management abilities
· A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and attention to detail
· Experience or qualifications in events, business administration, sales, or hospitality is a real advantage, but not a showstopper – this is a brilliant place to launch your careers in events and marketing.
What we offer:
The Alexander Stadium is run by the Birmingham Community Leisure Trust and Serco, and together we’re all about helping people make more of everyday life – and that includes our teams. You’ll join a collaborative, energetic group of people who care about what they do and support each other to succeed.
