A great opportunity to work as a sales assistant for Bath’s longest-established carpet shop. This is a part-time position, up to 18 hours per week, including Saturdays and two weekdays.
A well-respected, privately-owned business, we operate in the middle to top end of the flooring retail market, offering a wide range of quality flooring to domestic and commercial customers.
As one of the public faces of our flooring business, you will need to be confident in serving a wide variety of customers with varying needs and be able to self-manage multiple ongoing projects. You must have proven sales experience, preferably within the flooring industry, although training will be given.
The role includes:
· Talking to customers in person and by phone, understanding their requirements and providing advice on products and their application; arranging measuring and fitting appointments.
· Liaising with the Directors and fitting teams, relaying messages from customers and suppliers, and assisting with managing the measuring and fitting diaries.
· Adhoc administration tasks (scanning, filing etc.)
Essential requirements:
· Previous sales experience, preferably within the flooring trade
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Competence in basic maths
· Good standard of computer literacy
· Ability to forward plan
· Ability to work efficiently on your own and as part of the wider team
· You must be organised, well-presented, a good timekeeper, honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
Rate of pay - £15 per hour
