The Role
We're seeking a passionate and reflective secondary SEN teacher to lead small KS3 classes from September. Whether you're an experienced SEN practitioner or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into specialist education, this role offers the chance to make a lasting difference.
This role is ideal for educators who:
- Want to take their first step into specialist secondary education
- Are ready to lead on behaviour or curriculum development
- Are committed to inclusive practice and personalised learning
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, structured lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
- Set high expectations to inspire and challenge learners
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
- Adapt teaching to meet diverse needs and strengths
- Promote wellbeing and safeguard all pupils
- Build strong relationships with families and carers
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff, and leadership
- Engage in CPD and contribute to school improvement
What We're Looking For
- Qualified teacher meeting Teachers' Standards
- KS2/KS3 teaching experience (mainstream or SEN)
- Enthusiasm for SEN and a growth mindset
- Strong classroom management and a nurturing approach
- Willingness to take on leadership responsibilities over time
