Part-time (30 hours) – Permanent (over 4 or 5 days per week)
Grade A2 and salary £26,403 to £28,142 per annum pro rata
North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced administrator to join the Council as part of the Housing Team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records. The post requests and collates information from across NKDC; monitors completion of Safeguarding training by staff and members; arranges meetings and briefings for colleagues and outside agencies. This post does not become involved in any casework, or communicate with any vulnerable adults and/or children.
It’s a busy role, with a variety of administration tasks and the opportunity to work across all NKDC services, giving you an insight into all the services provided by the Council.
The hours can be worked over 4 days 9am to 5pm, or over 5 days 9am to 3pm daily. Weekdays only. Talk to us if a different working arrangement would suit you. We will be flexible for the right candidate.
Job Requirements:
• Administration experience in an office environment is essential, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience of organising workloads with the ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
• Demonstrable ability to work independently, using initiative, along with working as part of a wider team.
• Excellent IT Skills, including experience in Microsoft Office.
• Customer Service skills essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitoring completion of safeguarding training modules by staff and Members.
• Organising meetings, producing agendas and taking notes (not minutes).
• Consistent recording of information and filing of records
• Delivering basic (pre written) briefings to staff and contractors,
• Be the initial point of contact for staff with Safeguarding concerns, signposting them as appropriate (giving email addresses and/or telephones nos).

• Competent across all expects of administration.
• Well organised.
You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of the Housing department at an operational level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
