We have an exciting opportunity for a Operations Team Leader - Cleaning Services to join the Norwich City Service Limited (NCSL) team. If you are highly organised, a good communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role?
The role involves overseeing daily operations and staff management, ensuring contractual compliance and high service standards through coordination with stakeholders such as Norwich City Council. Responsibilities span workforce development—including recruitment, training, and performance management—alongside promoting company policies and values. The post holder drives health, safety, environmental, and quality practices, maintaining records and conducting risk assessments in compliance with ISO standards. Financial duties include budgeting, cost control, and evaluating additional works to support profitability. The role demands effective resource planning, cross-departmental collaboration, service improvement implementation, and flexibility in undertaking other duties as required by leadership.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive expertise in cleaning practices, multi-site contract management, and performance leadership, with a strong grasp of health and safety legislation and commercial operations. They are proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of using basic databases, and hold qualifications including BICS and IOSH Managing Safely. Demonstrating excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, the individual is adept at negotiation, problem-solving, and motivating teams while embodying company values and fostering a positive culture. They show commercial awareness, manage resources effectively, and maintain a customer-focused mindset, consistently aiming to enhance service delivery through continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.
