Solicitor needed in Bedford, £377.74 per day PAYE - Reference: 5273700
To contribute to the provision of a comprehensive high quality legal service to the Client and its service areas.
The main focus of the post is: adult social care, immigration and education work including special educational needs.
1. To provide a service of legal advice and practice and its Departments, the emphasis being on Adult Social Care; Immigration and Education.
2. An ability or a willingness to acquire the knowledge to carry out some child protection related matters.
3. To provide advice on Education matters including special educational needs.
4. To attend meetings of Full, the Executive, Committees and Working Groups as and when required.
5. To carry out Legal research and give advice as required.
6. To work to Lexcel or other quality systems that are in place.
7. To undertake any other duties as requested by the Service Manager (ACE), the Head of Legal Services or the Assistant Chief Executive (Governance and HR) commensurate with the grade of the post.
8. To assist the Solicitor to the Client in carrying out her monitoring role.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
