As a Chef at Sodexo in Nuffield Heath Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. What you’ll do:

Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards
Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
Support, guide, and train junior chefs and kitchen staff
Ensure full compliance with health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, COSHH, and fire safety regulations
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Support with monthly stocktakes
What you bring:

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience as a chef
Allergen and Intolerance training
COSHH and HACCP knowledge
Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for cooking
Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen
Clear, respectful communication both written and verbal and a strong team spirit
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Flexibility to provide cover during periods of sickness/ absence and any special functions that may occur
